Contracting Parties
The contracting parties are:
- You – the customer, which means either a consumer, a person who concludes a contract with the seller under their own name, or an entrepreneur, meaning a sole trader or a person acting on behalf of an institution or company and concluding a contract with us within their business, manufacturing, or other activities.
If you enter a business identification number (IČO) in your order, you acknowledge that the rules specified in the Terms and Conditions for entrepreneurs apply to you.
- We – the seller, Mikov s.r.o.
(Mikov s.r.o., registered office at Mikulášovice 741, Postal Code 407 79, Company ID: 25028626, VAT ID: CZ25028626, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in Ústí nad Labem, Section C, File 13082)
The contractual relationship is governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
All matters not explicitly covered by these Terms and Conditions are subject to the Civil Code (No. 89/2012 Coll.), and in the case of consumers, also the Consumer Protection Act (No. 634/1992 Coll.).
Goods displayed in the online store with a stated price represent the seller’s offer.
When you place goods in the shopping cart and submit an order, you express interest in purchasing the goods.
The purchase contract is concluded when we send you an order confirmation.
We are responsible for ensuring that the goods are free from defects upon receipt and that they have the properties described or reasonably expected based on their nature.
If a defect appears within 6 months, it is presumed that the goods were already defective upon receipt.
You have the right to claim a defect within 84 months of receipt. However, this does not apply to goods offered at a reduced price due to a defect or to wear and tear from normal use, such as a broken spring in an automatic knife or loosened knife scales.
If you cause the defect yourself, you are not entitled to claim a defective performance.
If the defect constitutes a material breach of contract, you have the right to:
- Request a replacement with a new defect-free product or the missing part (if reasonable given the defect’s nature);
- Request a repair;
- Request a reasonable discount;
- Withdraw from the contract.
When reporting a defect, you must specify which remedy you prefer.
If you do not make a timely choice, your rights will be considered as if the defect were a minor breach of contract.
If we cannot supply a defect-free replacement, repair the item, or provide a discount in a reasonable time, you have the right to withdraw from the contract.
If the defect constitutes a minor breach of contract, you have the right to repair or a reasonable discount.
In the case of returning goods for defect removal, contract withdrawal, or replacement, you should return the originally delivered goods (including all accessories) via Czech Post to the address stated at the beginning of these Terms and Conditions.
As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within 14 days of receiving the goods.
If you wish to withdraw, return the goods complete, with all accessories, documentation, and packaging, undamaged and clean. If possible, return them in their original packaging and condition. Include a written notice stating:
- Your intention to withdraw from the contract,
- Your order number,
- Your account number for a refund.
Return address: Mikov s.r.o., Dr. E. Beneše 349, 257 51 Bystřice.
We will refund your payment, including standard shipping costs, within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
If the goods, packaging, or other delivery components are damaged or rendered unusable, we will proportionally reduce the refunded amount to cover the costs of replacement or repair.
If you ordered custom-made goods or modified the goods in any way, you cannot withdraw from the contract.
More details on withdrawal rights can be found in Section 1837 of the Civil Code.

Promotional prices are valid while supplies last or for a specified time period.
