The unique Little Fish became a symbol of the ceremony of recognition of exceptional blood donors in Bethlehem Chapel

On the last day of November 2024, people who have one thing in common - the willingness to donate the most precious thing we have: our blood - gathered in the historic surroundings of Bethlehem Chapel. Under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, a ceremony was held here to present plaques, certificates and unique Rybička knives to donors who have made a significant contribution to saving human lives with their 250 donations.

The event highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and drew attention to its indispensable importance for the healthcare system. Without blood donors, even modern medicine would be many steps behind - the shortage of blood would limit not only acute operations, but also the treatment of serious diseases. It is still true that the gift of blood is the gift of life.
Donors who have reached the 250 donation mark are, in our view, the real heroes of everyday life. That is why Mikov prepared a unique version of the iconic Rybička knife for each award winner, which was presented to them together with plaques and certificates. This original knife, designed by young artist Aneta Žítková, is sure to become an award-winning reminder of a special day.
It was incredible to perceive what strong positive emotions accompanied the whole event. We were right there, but even so, we now congratulate again all the donors who regularly donate their time and a piece of themselves to save others. Their commitment is proof that even small steps can achieve big goals together. We are grateful that such people live among us
